2030 Predictions

• Finance

  • 80% of banks will cease to exist. At minimum in the US. Most likely globally. 

  • 99% of physical bank branches will cease to exist.

  • All but the top 20 fiat currencies will cease circulation

  • Cash, coin, and physical credit/debit/merchant cards will disappear. 

  • Auto loans to retail consumers will cease to exist 

  • Securitized pools of Income Share Agreements (ISAs) will be a > $1trillion issuance asset class globally

  • Student loan debt as it’s now known in the US will cease to exist due to a combination of federal level total debt forgiveness and ISA based payment systems dominating the education landscape.

  • Partial or full recourse mortgage debt for single family home ownership will effectively disappear

  • 80% of accredited undergraduate universities in the US will cease to exist. Those that transition to ISA based payment plans will change so much in character that they will functionally be different institutions

  • 80% of private US high schools will cease to exist due to the above

• Tech

  • Tesla will have a $1 trillion market cap

  • Boring Co. and SpaceX will each have a $1 trillion valuation

  • Crypto money markets will have over $1 trillion in interest earning capital

• Demographics

  • Birth rates in G20 nations will double across all age groups. 

  • Gestational surrogacy will become a first line reproductive option for top decile earners across all age groups

  • Life expectancy of someone born in 2030 will be 30% higher than someone born in 2020
